Weekend Pennant Final
On Saturday 27th February, Euroa’s Division 5 travelled to Avenel to play in the elimination final of the pennant against Tatura Hilltop but with some good bowling from both teams, the opposition was just too good. The scores were Euroa 59 – Tatura Hilltop 71; with Euroa winning one rink and Tatura Hilltop the other two.
It was great to see lots of spectators there to give their support and we thank them.
A very exciting end, the 24th on Richard Noble’s rink was when Doug Morgan put the kitty near the edge of the green. Second, Jim Davidson, with his first bowl, managed to hit the kitty into the ditch and remain just a small distance away. Each team member of the other side just couldn’t get nearer so Euroa won the end with one shot.
Now we all look forward to taking part in the pennant season 2021/2022 and we hope we can have some good results.
