Pennant players enjoy practice match
The weekend pennant season starts next Saturday 7th November and here’s hoping the weather will be like last Saturday when 55 intending pennant players came to the greens to play in a practice match against one another. This was to replace the previous two weeks of proposed matches between Shepparton Park and Seymour which were cancelled. Everyone enjoyed playing in the lovely sunshine and at the end of the day a draw of the cards took place and the winners were chosen and they were Don Steers (lead), Bill Jennings (second), Tim Scarlett (third) and Lindsay Cocking (skipper). As an extra bonus, players were able to take part in a “Nifty Fifty” draw and this was won by Keith Kruse.
