Men’s Pairs Final

On Friday 5th March, the final of the men’s pairs was played between Ken Sutcliffe/Andy Houston and Tony Thomson/Bill Sargood. This was a marathon match of three hours from start to finish and some very good bowls was played during the match. On the 7th end the score was Ken/Andy 2, Tony/Bill 11. On the next end, Ken/Andy scored five making the score 7/11 and after this the score evened at 11 until the 13th end. After this Ken/Andy gradually scored each end to make it 20/11 at the 19th end thus the next end wasn’t played.
